According to the 2014 Music Report, nearly 1 in 3 primary school students never learned to play a musical instrument. The reason given was that the cost of learning is too expensive. With music being squeezed out of the London curriculum, many primary school students don’t have the opportunity to learn music from a young age, except if parents can afford it. Amy Lamé – a controversial Night Czar?

Earlier this month, Sadiq Khan appointed Amy Lamé as the first London Night’s Czar. Since then, there has been much debate around her, as she was recently accused of having written offensive tweets and avoided taxes. Sixtine Marion reports.
